Ausseil - La Capitelle 2016

A single parcel right up high on the hill side, facing east, makes for long slow ripening. The wine is dense, sweet, earthy, leathery, liquorice, sage, and garrigue herbs, rich and satisfying. But again not lacking the final elements that make it refreshing and invigorating. But this is old school, in no uncertain terms. I love that there is still natural wine being made like this, with real structure and intensity. It is in truth the vineyard that dictates the style, Jacques has just let the fruit pursue its own destiny. Who needs a big glass of red wine !? Give it a go.
