Inkwell - Tangerine Viognier 2023

Inkwell is a winery that flies under the radar but does everything right. Estate grown, organic, minimal... not may natural wine producers in Australia have that luxury. This is their extended skin contact Viognier, a grape variety that I think works really well as an orange wine.

Aromatic notes of citrus, apricot, green herbs, ginger and earl grey. Dry but with sweet fruit, chalky tannin, and an underlying acidity resulting in great balance. Medium bodied and richly textured.

A lovely wine on its own but also very food friendly. Can take white meats like chicken, but also works well with spicy foods.
