Nebbiolo grapes, locally known as Spanna, grown around the village of Ghemme - nestled between the Monte Rosa massif and the Po Valley.
The estate has 35 hectares of vineyards are located on the hilly belts of the Monte Rosa terrace, between 250 to 310 metres in altitude, with a complex mix of soil made up of granite, gravel, schist, serpentine, and dolomitic rocks.
The vineyards are dry farmed/non-irrigated, managed sustainably, and hand cultivated. Grapes are hand harvested as whole bunches, with plots and varieties selected for ripeness.
After being harvested, the grapes are sorted, destemmed, and gently pressed. Vinification occurs through spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeast, with the wine aged in large format oak barrels.
Bottled with minimal added sulphur.
