Arnaldo Rossi - Sella dell'Acuto Sangiovese 2019

Sangiovese from Arnaldo's tiny vineyard that has high elevation & soils rich in calcareous-clay. Half the wine is aged in cement while the other half is aged in old barrel. 

Selle means the "saddle of the hilltop", with the plot being at a particularly high elevation and quite exposed. The result is perfectly ripe Sangoivese. 

An expressive and delicious Sangiovese. Cherry fruit, raspberry and spice. Medium bodied but elegant with fine tannin. Super good.
