Yarrie Bangura created Aunty's to celebrate the diversity of Australia's communities, and the opportunities to share all things cultural; flavour, texture, tradition and wellness. Aunty's Ginger Tonic's are a natural remedy to aid digestion and boost immunity. It's a mix of Yarrie's experiences, pulling together the flavours of West African villages and the freshness of Australian ingredients in a way that's just as good for you as it is enjoyable to drink. 

At the age of 8, Yarrie left her home in war-torn Sierra Leone and arrived in Australia as a refugee. Motivated by her African heritage and memories of watching her Grandmother and Aunty make the remedy for their community, she decided to recreate the

“I remember as a child sitting by my grandmother side as she peeled the ginger roots that she had grown and harvested. There were huge tubes of peeled roots of ginger. The smell was so fresh and strong. As she boiled the ginger she would tell me stories of her youth, of the village and of the people long passed. Sometimes she would sing, not normal songs, she would sing to make the ginger stronger. She believed in her magic to make the ginger stronger.”
