🍷 Medium Reds

A minimal & terroir focused producer in a region with a rep for big oak over big heart. More elegant but still showing the regions big fruit and structure. Lovely and seriously good.

Tasting Notes

A serious yet morieshly delicious Portuguese red!

Fruit driven in both aroma & flavour. Blackberry, mulberry, raspberry and more dark brambly fruits, accompanied by subtle dried herbs, kirsch, a sweet fruit reduction, wild bus character (excuse me? - J).

Crunchy on the palate, medium bodied and dry, textured with a tart fruit character, grippy-chewy tannins and an understate fresh acidity that keeps it all approachable & moreish. Seriously good wine from Dao.

Nerd Notes
A bottle of Beiorte 'Palhais' Tinto 2023 from Dão, Portugal
