🍇 📍 Navarra

🍷 Medium Reds

Tasting Notes

Grown under the stars, a high-altitude Garnacha that shines with elegance and local tradition.

Rich in flavour, with red fruits giving way to sweet blue fruits, accompanied by pepper and spiced tones, floral aromatics, and a notable mineral accent.
Juicy texture and tautly structured, with well integrated fine tannins, and a subtle dash of acidity. Elegant, with a persistent finish.

Producer: Bodegas Nekeas
Region: Valdizarbe - Navarra, Spain
Grapes: Garnacha (Grenache)

Nerd Notes

From the Nekeas Valley on the north side of Navarra. A valley of steep slopes that are heavily influenced by the nearby Atlantic, a cooling and wettening (?) influence. Vines sit at an altitude between 450 to 650m.

The result is unique Grenache Blanc and Rouge with an Atlantic influence.

100% Garnacha from vines between 80 and 115 years old.
Separate cuvée and fermentation of each plot with average maceration of 20 days, of which at least 8 are cold soak.
Malolactic fermentation and 5/6 month light ageing in barrels.
