An excellent Shiraz from McLaren Vale that rides that line between minimal intervention and classic. Full bodied yet vibrant and interesting.
Brooding on the nose with notes of dark fruit, ripe plums and orange with notes of spice and anise. Full and generous on the palate with fine tannin and a mix of ripe fruits and spice. Balanced and delicious.

NERD NOTES
Made from 21 year old shiraz vines grown at the Organic Brash Higgins estate Omensetter Vineyard. 2018 in the Vale was a solid year, even after a very damaging hailstorm in November reduced the yield by 20%. The result of this hail haircut resulted in even more fruit intensity from the surviving grapes. Vinted from hand selected fruit, 20% whole bunch, and sent to open one ton fermenters for 3 weeks. Wild yeast ferment, then gently basket pressed and sent to a mix of new and older French hogsheads for 20 months.
