Join us as we taste through a selection of wines from the great nation of Catalunya. We will be tasting through a selection of wines from PENEDES, PRIORAT, MONTSANT & TERRE ALTA. We will also be tasting CORPINNAT which is run. You have never heard of Corpinnat? Oh ma gad.
"Centred on the great city of Barcelona, Catalunya is one of the most culturally vibrant and interesting places in Europe. Its wine influence (winfluence) is felt across the western Mediterranean, an area it once dominated politically.
Winemaking in Catalunya has a very long history, dating back before Roman times. A small region, vines can be found from the warm valleys of the coast to the warm hills of the interior.
For this event we will be focusing on the southern corner of Catalunya, where the majority of wine is grown. Will be tasting the regions most important varieties, from the familiar (Grenache, Carignan, Tempranillo) to the less so (Xarel-lo, Parrelada, Grenache Gris, Samso)"
