Tasting Notes

Alsatian Sylvaner that's minerally pure, aromatically rich, and full of tension and energy.

Subtle scents of soft white fruit and florals, supported by a pure mineral character. The flavour builds on the nose, showing intense and concentrated depth.

Energetic and driven on the palate, full of vibrancy, yet elegant and refined. Dry, light to medium in body, fresh acid and a crisp mineral core, yet softly textured, and a near endlessly long finish.

Nerd Notes

Sylvaner, grown with organic and biodynamic viticulture, from two plots:
1. From the heart of 'Heisse Wanne' Grand Cru Kessler in Guebwiller, planted in 1958 on sandstone and red clay, featuring massal selection and given special care and plouged with Comtois horse.
2. Located on the border of the Grand Cru Saering in Guebwiller, planted in 1969 on Oligocene limestone and sandstone erosion from the Buntsandstein.

Hand picked grapes, whole-bunch pressed "a l'Alsacienne" with a pneumatic press, fermented with natural yeast in stainless steel tanks. Aged on lees in 150 year old founders.
