Tasting Notes

An elegant and aromatic white from a lesser known Sardinian grape.

Sweet spices, floral, and hints of lightly toasted fruits on the nose that carries over to its flavour, with a soft almond finish.
Rich on the palate, lushly textured, dry and full bodied, with a persistent finish.

Producer: Cantine di Dolianova
Region: Cagliari - Sardinia, Italy
Grapes: Nasco

Nerd Notes

Nasco grapes grown in the commune of Dolianovia (Cagliari), in Sardinia. The vines grow in Miocene clayey limestone soils, sloped terrain, with a sub-arid climate.

The grapes are harvested, cold macerated on skins overnight, rested for 12 hours at low temperature to gently clarify, and then fermented over a period of 14 days.
Following fermentation, the wine is aged on lees, before bottling.
