Blue slate minerality rips down the palate. Savoury, richly textured, yet racy and tight. Very fresh and flinty with hints of stone fruit and floral notes. Complex, powerful and delicious.

NERD NOTES
This is a micro vineyard (just 0.1 ha) high in the hills, on the pure blue slate of Villé. The Riesling and Pinot Gris vines are co-planted as was previously traditional in Alsace.
Co-harvested, pressed and co-fermented until dry, then aged in very large foudres for 18 months. Very little of this wine is made making it very rare.
