Pinot Noir from Doug's Vineyard in the Macedon Ranges.
The vineyard is located in Romsey, a cool-climate sub-region of the Macedon Ranges; located on the foothills of the Cobaw Rangges, sitting at 530m altitude on a North facing slope, with the vines growing in volcanic rocky basalt soil.
Handpicked grapes, separated into three portions. The main was de-stemmed, crushed, and fermented in an open fermented for 10 days with daily punch downs. The remaining grapes were small portions of whole bunch grapes and whole berry grapes, fermented in separate Amphorae.
Post pressing, the wine was transferred to a mixture of mature French oak barriques and Amphora, where it was aged for 14 months, before being blended and bottled.
Bottled unfined, unfiltered, with minimal added sulphur.
