One acre of Shiraz vines from Lakeside Vineyard in Knowsley - Heathcote, Victoria.

The vines grow on the northern shore of Lake Eppalock on mostly clay loam soils, except for a shallow strip of Cambrian soils that runs through the middle of the site.

Handpicked in late February as small bunches, chilled overnight in the winery, before being de-stemmed, and transferred to a small open fermented (with twice daily punch downs and temperature control).

Racked into 4 year old French Barriques and aged for 12 months, during which it went through malolactic fermentation, before being aged on lees for a further 12 months. Riddled and disgorged in late August 2024, with 12g/L of sugar added at dosage.

Bottled with minimal added sulphur.
