South West France is an actual region of France. It is a diverse place full of hills and mountains between Bordeaux and Languedoc in the (wait for it) south west of France.

The regions boasts a mix of unique grape varieties and varied terroir. Many of these grape varieties are found barely anywhere else (Jurancon Noir, Fer, Duras) while some more famous grapes have their origin here (Malbec, Tannat). The wines can be delicious, excellent value and unique.

Despite all these natural advantages they are unfortunately saddled with one of the least creative marketing teams in the country. Like much of Europe, France is full of wonderfully evocative regional names such as 'The Loire Valley', 'The Jura Mountains' or 'Cote de Provence'. Wonderful stuff. Not here though. All we get is South West France, which is about as evocative as an excel sheet.

So join us as we explore one of the least known wine regions of France!

EVENT DETAILS

Our wine tastings finish at 8:30 pm. They sometimes go a little over but we try to have everything officially wrapped up by then and let people hang back and chat if they like.

In terms of food, we will have some nibbles but not full meals. The snacks vary for each event. It is quite common for people to head next door to the wine bar for dinner after a tasting.

Tickets are non-refundable but can be exchanged for credit up to 7 days before the event. This cannot be done closer to the event as we order wines based on ticket sales. If you cannot make the event, you are welcome to give your tickets to someone else, like a gift!
