A wonderful skin contact wine from Gustavo. Light and elegant BUT also flavoursome with a skinsy mouthfeel. Juicy and fresh with notes of orange peel, spices and fresh herbs. Lovely drinking and great with food.
Fermented on skins for a week or so followed by another couple of weeks on skins.

ABOUT GUSTAVO MARTINEZ
Winemaker: Gustavo Martinez
Gustavo is based out of Florida (not that one) in Itata (technically Bio Bio but not really). He produces a bunch of minimal intervention wines all based on single vineyard sites. In the winery he has taken a minimal intervention and has embraced the historical techniques of Itata. This includes Pipeno style wine making and vessels as well as the use of the extremally cool zaranda (a crusher/destemmer, not a weird lute).
He has a long history with many of his growers, having previously worked as a technical advisor on a government program to support landholders in Itata. He has helped transition his growers towards organics and dry farming. He also previously worked with Luis Antoine Luyt which just adds more street cred.
