Tasting Notes

A cool climate Nebbiolo that's elegant and full of depth.

Perfumed aromatics, rose and violet florals, red and dark cherry fruit flavours, anise and subtle tones of oak spice, and savoury tones of foresty earth, mushroom, and leather.

Rich and concentrated on the palate, elegantly textured with a fine almost taunt tannic line, a quiet earthy character, and a elegantly smooth finish.
Nerd Notes

Nebbiolo from the Southeastern of the Roero area within Langhe, in Piemonte, Italy.

The vineyard is a gently sloped south-west facing site with a cool climate, with vines growing in white clay and lime soils.

Hand harvested grapes, picked at phenolic ripeness, and softly destemmed before vinifinication.

Spontaneously fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel and concrete, with whole berry gentle punch-downs during the first 10 to 15 days of fermentation.

The wine is transferred to wooden barrels near the end of fermentation, where it matures on fine lees for a minimum of one year.

Bottled with minimal added sulphur.
