Johanneshof Reinisch - Ried Holzspur Pinot Noir 2019

An elegant and complex Pinot Noir from Austria, that is full of 'Burgundian' charm.

Fragrant red berries and cherries on the nose, with savoury oak spices, and a touch of yogurt. Beautifully opens up on the palate, going from flavours of botanicals and ripe fruits (dark cherry, strawberry, and raspberry) to spiced notes of cloves and cardamon, savoury herbs, mushroom, and forest undergrowth. It's dry, medium to full bodied, with and a lush texture that is both serious and full of finesse, coming from bright mineral acidity and fine, meaty tannin. Finishes long and clean.
