Jonc Blanc - Sens du Fruit Bordeaux Rouge 2018

A marvellous Merlot & Cabernet Sauvignon blend from Beregerac, Bordeaux.

Biodynamic practices are extremely important to the winemakers, Isabelle Carles and Franck Pascal, who say they live by the quote "First do no harm" (Hippocrates, 410BC, Tuesday afternoon). 

63% Merlot and 37% Cabernet Sauvignon, grown on limestone soils, it's harmonious and balanced. Blackcurrant, cocoa, spice and a hint of mint on the nose. The palate holds small red fruits, earth and more spices, with a velvety mouthfeel and surprisingly tense finish. Grilled meats are a go-to pairing for this one.
