Tasting Notes

One of the very greatest Dry Chenin Blanc vineyards in the Limestone part of the Loire, whose reputation rightly sits along side “La Charpentrie” from Domaine du Collier. Aged 2 years in large oak, a very rare and fine wine.

Dry, complex and serious Chenin. Stone fruits and flowers with notes of spice and honey. Delicious.
Nerd Notes

This is a tiny vineyard, just 7 ha, of which the Jousset’s farm just over 1 ha, entirely worked by horse or human hands, no machines. It is a special vineyard, with a very peculiar blue clay, and lots of silex flint stones.
