A seriously good Brunello from an excellent estate.

Dark cherries and red berry fruit, underlying mineral character, with delicate oak spices, and rich chocolatey finish.

Rich on the palate, structured with grippy unrestrained tannin, a generous underlying acidity, and a long finish.

NERD NOTES

Sangiovese from the south-east side of Montalcino, Sienna, at an altitude of 400-450m on sandy-clay soil.

Harvested in mid September.

Vinified in stainless steel tanks and large oak casks, seeing 40 days skin maceration.

Aged for 36 months in 500L French oak barrels, one third new and two thirds second use, before bottling, and then aged a further 6 months in bottle.
