🍷 Light Reds

Tasting Notes

Old Vine Pinot Noir from the south of Argentina

Perfumed on the nose, plush red berries, violets, subtle spiced notes, and a savoury mushroom-forest floor character on the finish. Smooth on the palate, touch grippy in texture, light to medium bodied, firm tannin and bright acidity, long and smooth on the finish.

Producer: Matias Riccitelli
Region: Alto Valle of Rio Negro, Patagonia, Argentina
Grapes: Pinot Noir

Nerd Notes

Ungrafted old vines, planted in the late 1960s, grown on loam soils in the Rio Negro riverside. Organic grown, with no herbicides or other industrial agroecological products used in vineyard cultivation.

Fermented using native yeasts in small French oak barrels, with 25% whole bunches and temperatures kept between 24 and 26 degrees Celsius, using soft push downs to slow extraction.

Aged for 8 months in French oak barrels.
