Tasting Notes

A classic Central Otago Pinot Noir - elegant, full of depth, and delicately balanced.

Aromatic violet and blue fruits, ripe plums, soft cherry and berry fruit flavours, accompanied by gentle notes of vanilla and oak spice, wild thyme and freshly picked herbs.

Elegantly smooth on the palate, silky in texture and structured around a fine tannic line and pop of fresh acidity, with a long clean finish.

Nerd Notes

Pinot Noir from Central Otago, New Zealand. Sourced from two Bannockburn vineyards - Felton Terraces (84%) and Cairnmuir (16%).

Hand harvested grapes, destemmed, and then fermented in stainless steel vats - one-third with wild yeasts and two-thirds inoculated.

Macerated on skins for 27 to 32 days, gently pressed into French oak barrels (20% new Oak), where it under malolactic fermentation and was aged for 10 months, before being blended and bottled.
