A classic Bordeaux style red blend with a Chinese twist.

Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot

Fresh and darkly fruited on the nose, with hawthorn florals and spiced tones.

Ripe dark fruit flavours of cherry, hints of plum and blackcurrant, oak spices, a fresh mint touch, and a dried tobacco character on the finish.

The palate is rich, smoothly textured and lush, structured with a fine tannin line, enveloping, and a smooth persistent finish.

Pair with cumin lamb, beef stew, or sichuan hot pot.

NERD NOTES

Grown on the eastern slopes of the Helan Mountains, in Ningxia, China.

Vineyards are some of the highest in China, at 1,200 metres in altitude, cultivated with organic and biodynamic methods (Demeter certified).

Grape varieties: 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot.

Cold macerated, temperature-controlled fermentation, gentle and slow pressed.

Aged for 12 months, 70% in French Oak and 30% in Stainless Steel Vats.
