Tenuta Macchiarola - Verdeca 2019

A lush, fruit forward, and mineral driven skin contact Verdeca from Puglia in Italy's South.

Richly aromatic, with notes of ripe citrus and stone fruit, hints of tropical fruit, florals, and an oxidative nuttiness. Grapefruit and apricot are on the fore of the palate, with fresh flavours giving way to textural pith. There's a marked minerality (sparked by the clay soils the vines thrive on), that is beautifully balanced with notes of less and malolatic fermentation. Rich and textural, yet never overwhelming. Medium bodied, dry, with clarifying acidity and grippy tannin.
