Tasting Notes

Single vineyard Xinomarvo from Naoussa.

Intense aromatics of red berry fruit, dried herbs, and oak spices. Ripe fruit flavours of strawberry, raspberry, and sour cherry, with notes of tomato, lavender, wild herbs, liquorice, nutmeg, and rich earth.

Rich on the palate, lushly textured with an underlying earthy character, firm grippy tannins balanced by a fresh acid core, all mature and well integrated, with a persistent clean finish.

Nerd Notes

Single vineyard Xinomarvo from the village of Trilofos - 44 year old vines growing in limestone soils at 180 metres altitude.

The vines are farmed organically with biodynamic practices, working to promote vine health and preserving biodiversity in the vineyard.

The grapes are harvested at the end of September as whole bunches, with 80% being destemmed, before undergoing spontaneous fermentation on indigenous yeasts and macerated on skins for 40 days.

The wine is matured for 12 months in second-use, 500L French oak barrels.
