A juicy yet serious Greek red - it beautifully opens up in the glass, with bright fruit notes and an underlying savoury character.
Producer: Thymiopoulos Vineyards - Apostolos Thymiopoulos
Region: Naoussa, Macedonia, Greece
Grapes: Xinomavro
Red fruits, spice, and a touch of dusty earth on the nose.
Full of juicy fruit flavours, with sweet strawberry, raspberry, redcurrant, red cherry, dark plums, orange peel, dried herbs, rhubarb, liquorice, spice, and a slight meaty quality.
Rustic yet juicy on the palate, medium bodied and dry, with earthy tannin balanced with concentrated acidity. Long and savoury on the finish.
Recommend a short decant before serving.
