Vinadores de Gredos - Cuesta del Tejar Garnacha 2018

A dark and aromatic wine with black fruit and violet notes. Finely tannic and powerful on the palate with a sweet spice and pepper finish. Finishes dry, smooth and moreish. Wonderful wine. 

ABOUT VINADORES DE GREDOS

This is the estate of winemaker Ruben Diaz.

Cebreros is the heart of the Sierra de Gredos, which is west of Madrid and belongs to Avila, Madrid and Toledo province.  Cebreros used to be a rustic, forgotten place in middle of Sierra de Gredos mountains – but treasure was hidden in this forgotten place: old vineyards of Garnacha Tintorera and fabulous sandy and slate soil.

Ruben is a born and bred native of Cebreros and is one of the iconic winemakers of the region. Grenache is his passion and he strives to keep winemaking as traditional as possible. Everything is minimal and organic. 

In addition of Garnacha, Rubén focuses on the white grapes of Albillo Real and Chasselas
Doré to create exciting wines of various styles: under flor (the veil of yeast that protects the wine from oxidization), skin macerated wine (orange wine), and vibrant and bright
wine.
