Aristotelis Ke Anthoula - Little Red 2024

A new vintage of Ari's Little Red, a great lofi chilled red - this time made from a blend of three Italian varieties: Sangiovese; Barbera; and Nero d'Avola. 

Juicy and bright with notes of sweet raspberry and cherry with notes of spice, anise, herbs, and a little earthy-foresty goodness. Fresh and soft, with a subtle chalkiness and a lingering acidity, this is a wonder straight from the fridge.

NERD NOTES

As always it's whole bunches carbonically macerated for 2 weeks for that extra lolly-ish red fruit character. The juice is drained off everyday to neutral barriques keeping the colour light and the tannins low ensuring it's well suited to serving cold. At the end of vintage we end up with a range of barrels from rosé to a medium bodied red, blended to taste resulting in a juicy slurpable wine that still has loads of complexity and layers. As our tastes change so do our wines, this year it's a little more sophisticated and mature with some nice herbal flavours in there.
