Buronfosse 'L'Hopital' Savagnin 2020 | Jura, France

A rich and lightly oxidative Jura savagnin blended from three different Sélection Massales.

Intense aromatics of orange peel, vanilla, cream, and pastry. Smooth and lively on the palate, with vibrant acidity, full of texture yet light to medium bodied. Flavours of dried fruits, nuts, spice, and caramel.

A blend of three Savagnin Sélection Massales, planted around 70 years ago in the l’Hopital lieu-dit. Crushed limestone and blue-grey marl soils. Fermented and aged for 30 months on lees in neutral barrels, ouillé (topped up). No fining or filtering, no added sulphur.
