A classic expression of Cabernet Franc from Saumur Champigny in the Loire Valley, France.
Lovely on the nose, with aromas of ripe red and black berries, subtle smoke, pepper, and spice, with a hint of herbaceous-ness. Medium bodied on the palate, dry, crunchy tannins, superbly balanced with acidity, making for a delightful mouthful. Full of red and black fruit flavours, with notes of spice, savoury texture, and the classic Tuffau (limestone) minerality.
Pair with streak frites, Argentinian BBQ, or a burger of your choice. Drink now or cellar for 5 years.
