A rare example of Pineau d'Aunis from Bordeaux, both strikingly similar and unique to its Loire Valley counterparts.
Intense aromatics of red fruit and spice on the nose, which opens up to flavours of fresh raspberry and crunchy red-dark berry fruit, pepper and savoury notes of oak spice, and touch of fruit liqueur, and hints of rustic earth.
Bright on the palate, dry, smoothly textured with an underlying tannic grip giving a slight crunch to the mouthfeel, and a fresh acid line.
