Vermouth has a precise historical origin as a fortified and aromatised wine. Born in Turin in 1786, it has since become a popular aperitif drink and ingredient in numerous cocktails. The name derives from the german word Vermut which translates to Wormwood, the main herb used in traditional Vermouth production (also used to make Absinthe). The Mauro Vegano uses a wine base of Moscato and Cortese, both bringing perfect balance between acidity and sweet fruit flavour. Added herbs, spice, and wormwood accentuate the base wine, making for a Vermouth that is yellow, clear, sweet, bitter and with loads of fragrance.
How To Drink: Great in your Negroni. Best on its own, maybe on the rocks after a busy day at work.
