Tasting Notes

La Bruja de Rozas or ‘The Witch of Rozas’ is the village wine of the town Rozas de Puerto Real. The witch refers to the tendency of Rozas to be overcast and grey, due to clouds forming on the surrounding hills. This lack of light is a key part of the terroir and helps to give Bruja its elegance.

Bright aromatics and delicate flavours, with fresh fruit notes of red cherry, raspberry, and pomegranate, alongside perfumed violets, liquorice, herbs, spice, and stony earth. Dry, medium bodied, and gentle, silky texture that balances acid and fruit.

An old favourite and for good reason.

Nerd Notes

Sourced from several organically farmed high altitude plots on granite soils, fermented with indigenous yeasts and subject to up to five months maceration, La Bruja receives just as much care and attention in the vineyard and winery as top cuvees.
