Les Vignes de Babass - Roc Cab 2020

Sebastien Dervieux, or Babass, was one of the first rebels in Anjou to toss aside any so2 addition during the whole vinification, even in collaborative projects. This Roc Cab is from his own estate, established in 2011 with his wife.

Vinified with native yeasts with whole bunch maceration for nearly two weeks, exposed to all of the Loire's climate conditions, this Cab Franc is textured, earthy and a little wild (much like the winemaker). Notes of tobacco leaf, spicy pepper and tart red fruit, but with a dangerously moreish freshness to it. Yum.
