A rare true field blend of ancient and typical Jura grape varieties.
An elegant and very light red in the classic Jura style. Wild strawberries, plum and herbal (thyme) notes alongside spice and pepper notes. Someone said there are "cran-berry" notes, whatever the hell that is.
The wine is both juicy and tart at the same time, with an earthy edge to the tannins. Structured and complex for a wine that is unmistakably Jura. I almost said the word quintessential but stopped myself, a real close call. Finishes clean and long. A really interesting wine. Drink with a slight chill.
