An exotic and textured Pinot Gris made in the Romato style - a Skin Contact Rose.
Producer: Domaine Simha - Nav Singh and Louise Radman
Region: Derwent Valley, Tasmania
Grapes: Pinot Gris
Perfumed with white fruit, hints of red, floral notes, and spice on the nose.
Damask rose leads into fresh notes of intense lychee fruit balanced out by textured pink pears and stone fruit, alongside bitter orange, ginger, an allspice mix, and a twinge of smoky spice note.
Fresh with a elegantly grippy texture, structured with vibrant acidity and light, firm tannin.
NERD NOTES
Pinot Gris from a single cool climate vineyard in the Derwent Valley, Tasmania.
Handpicked on a fruit day after the Hunters Moon.
Whole bunches fermented with wild yeasts, macerated on skins for 30 days, and basket pressed. Matured for 6 months on lies in demi-john barrels.
Bottled unfiled and unfiltered, with minimal added sulphur.
