Eugenio Bocchino 'Roccabella' Langhe Nebbiolo 2021 | Piemonte, Italy

This wine comes from a 1.5 hectare single vineyard called ‘Roccabella’, just outside the Barolo commune, which Eugenio and Cinzia have farmed since the very beginning. Grapes ferment with indigenous yeast in stainless steel for about 2 months, then after resting in concrete containers for few months the wine is transferred to large format oak for about 18 months. Roccabella has all the aromatics, elegance, and purity of its more famous big brother Barolo, but is slightly less serious, and more approachable in its youth.
