An intense and richly fruited Montepulciano blend.

Grapes: Montepulciano and Sangiovese

Perfumed notes of violets and mature red fruit.

Sweetly flavoured with blackberry and plum on the fore, coming through to raspberry, blueberry, and blackcurrant notes, with light baking and savoury spices.

Soft and fleshy in texture, rich on the palate, dry, light rustic tannin, well integrated, long and warming on the finish.

Nerd Notes:

Montepulciano 80% and Sangiovese 20%

Grapes are hand harvested and immediately crushed and destemmed.

Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel for 18 to 20 days.

Controlled temperature with repeated light pump overs and delestage. The wine underwent spontaneous malolactic fermentation.

Matured in stainless steel for 7 months on lees, a further 12 months in oak casks, and again in bottle before release.
