A fresh, fun light red-dark rose - made with Grenache from the Pyrenees and inspired by the wines of Tavel from the Southern Rhone.

Producer: Latta Vino - Owen Latta

Region: Pyrenees, Victoria

Grapes: Grenache

Full of texture and detail yet super light and absolutely fresh and fun. Red berries and cherries, pepper and spice, a touch of herbs, and traces of earth.

Deliciously easy drinking, but not lacking substance on the palate - fine tannins, bright acidity, and delicious fruit all at once.

NERD NOTES

Grown by incredibly talented viticulturist, Cory Hope, up in the Landsborough Valley Pyrenees on the Shays Flat site. Cory manages 50 hectares of vines over three sites in the valley which are all farmed certified organic, a huge undertaking. Owen thinks it's one of the best sets of vineyards in the Pyrenees, if not in Victoria/Australia

Three harvests of grapes and packed full of winemaking techniques. It sees 30% whole bunches, infusion, carbonic maceration, concrete fermenter, backet pressed directly into barrel. Matured for 8 month in a mix of different sized cacks, bottled straight after racking.

Big O says "Enjoy, it's bloody delicious".
