Grapes: Ciliegiolo, Colorino, Foglia Tonda, Mammolo, and Sangiovese.

This is the estate of Giovanna Morganti, one of the leading lights of interesting Tuscany. 

Her estate is small at only 3ha. The property is located in the village of San Felice in the southern part of the Chianti Classico region. The vineyard is organic with biodynamic principles. Grapes are fermented in open top wooden ferment with long elevage. 

Giovanna started off studying oenology before moving on to a project to plant traditional Tuscan grape varieties around San Felice. After her father gave her a small estate, Giovanna added a new vineyard with varieties from the project to her own estate. Grapes such as Ciliegiolo, Prugnolo, Colorino and Foglia tonda Mammolo, as well as Sangiovese of course.

La Trame comes from a densely planted vineyard of mainly Sangiovese alongside some Fogliatonda.
