Another great Savagnin from Les Dolomies.
Savagnin from a 35 year old vineyard in Nevy-sur-Seille lieu-dit La Chaux, sitting on stony marl soils. The site is quite steep and rocky and the team use Donkeys to help during harvest. The name is named for one of these wonderful donkeys (Arco).
Interesting and tasty with cutting acidity balanced by vibrant flavours. Mineral and serious with notes of stone fruit, citrus and very light butter. Lovely if a little young, needing a touch of aging or a decant.

THE ESTATE
This is the estate of Céline and Steve Gormally. Celine established the estate in 2008 and manages around 5ha.
When it comes to vineyard management, Celine espouses the philosophy articulated by Saint Exupery's saying: 'The earth is not ours; but lent to us by our children". Viticulture is organic, following biodynamic principles, and donkeys are used in place of machinery. Celine is also former vice president and current member of ‘Le Nez Dans Le Vert.’
They bring significant experience to their work, having been involved with renowned wineries such as Badoz, St-Pierre, and the wonderful Labet.
The wines are handled naturally, with minimal sulphite, yet are in no way funky. These are pure expressions of the Jura, showcasing the regions power, elegance and terroir.
