Loic Mahe - Amphorae Savennieres 2018

A rarer wine this one from Loic Mahe. Here the Chenin Blanc has been aged in Amphorae before release. The fruit comes from Les Fougeraies vineyard.

A pretty unique take on Chenin Blanc. Coiled and closed on opening, needing an hour or so to open up. A very minerally and fine boned wine, closer to a Jura Savagnin than a big Savennieres Chenin.

Rare and super interesting, this is definitely worth trying.
