Malat - Furth Riesling 2023

A beautiful Austrian Riesling from the slopes of Kremstal, that we can't recommend enough.

Rich citrus flavours of lime and lemon, a touch of peach, with notes of stony, almost crystal minerality, a dollop of honey, nuttiness, and a hint of vanilla and oak baking spices. The palate is dry, light to medium bodied, with a tight, saline acidity, resulting in an energetic, almost crystalline texture, and finishes with a delightfully moreish mineral edge. 

It's elegant, poised, and full of energy; everything we want from an an Australian Riesling.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER

Established in 1722 in the village of Furthbei Gottweig, the Malat Estate is now run by 10th generation winemaker Michael Malat.

All work is done by hand without irritation using organic farming practices (not current certified).
