Malat 'Furth' Riesling 2023 | Kremstal, Austria

A crystalline, mineral-laced Riesling from the slopes of Kremstal, Austria. Weingut Malat has been making wine since 1722, and their current custodian, Michael Malat (10th generation), is crafting some of the most elegant and precise wines in Lower Austria.

This Riesling is dry and driven — lime and lemon zest meet white peach, with a core of crystalline minerality. Notes of honey and toasted nut add texture and depth, with a gentle lift of baking spice from time in oak. The palate is sleek and saline, with tight acidity and a light-to-medium weight that finishes long and mineral.

Pure, focused, and energetic — this is everything we look for in Austrian Riesling.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER

Established in 1722 in the village of Furthbei Gottweig, the Malat Estate is now run by 10th generation winemaker Michael Malat.

All work is done by hand without irritation using organic farming practices (not current certified).
