Old vine Malbec. Serious and unique.

Juicy and ripe. Classic dark fruited Malbec flavour, with a slight fresh and herbal character to it. Rich on the palate, full of depth, structured with chewy tannin, enveloping in texture, finishes dry.

Much more serious and complex than most Malbecs, with more balance and structure. Great stuff.

NERD  NOTES

Old vine Malbec grown in loamy-clay soils

50% comes from Las Compuertas, grown at 1,100 metres in altitude, with the vineyards planted between 1920 and 1940 with loamy-clay soils.

50% comes from Vistalba, grown at 1,000 metres in altitude, with the vineyards planted in 1908 on loamy-clay soils with a rocky bedrock.

Vineyards are organically cultivated, without the use of herbicides or other systemic products.

Vines are harvested as who clusters and destemmed, before being fermented with indigenous yeasts in small concrete vessels. Aged for 16 months in French oak barrels.
