An Italian-esque Skin Contact wine that's full of tension and clarity.
Tangy citrusy goodness, with lemons, oranges, limes, and grapefruit, dried herbs, chalky minerality, and an underlying savouryness.
Smooth and clean on the palate, dry and medium bodied, textured with a chalky phenolic grip and fresh acidity.
Nerd Notes
Producer: Momento Mori
Region: Heathcote, Victoria
Grapes: Fiano, Vermentino, and Moscato Giallo
The blend is relatively the same each year and includes Fiano, Vermentino, and Moscato Giallo, although amounts are adjusted to suit the vintage. The 2022 is comprised of 45% Vermentino, 45% Fiano and 10% Moscato Giallo
All are fermented separately in stainless for varying time on skins. Each variety is then pressed back to stainless and left to rest on solid lees over the winter (also in stainless) before gravity racking, assembling the final blend and then bottling in early summer.
