A delicately fruity saignée Rosato made with Montepulciano from Abruzzo.

Fresh seaside aromas on the nose, with herbs and floral notes, and a bright salinity aspect. The fruit comes through on the flavour, with ripe red cherries and red berry fruit notes, fresh herbs, saline-minerality, and a moreish sourdough note.

Soft and delicate on the palate, dry, gently textured, very subtle tannin but structured with a bright acid core and mineral current.

NERD NOTES

Montepulciao grapes from the provinces of Chieti and Teramo, Abruzzo, grown on textured clayey soil on a south-east exposure with biodynamic viticulture.

Hand harvested grapes, selected for quality, and pressed in the tub to bleed of the juice & concentrate the flavour (saignée), before being cold fermented with natural yeasts. Aged on fine lees in stainless steel.
