Renzaglia Central Ranges Chardonnay 2024 | Orange, NSW

Brilliantly bright and textured Chardonnay from the slopes of Mt Canobolas.

Concentrated flavours of lychee, melon ring, peach, nectarine, and citrus fruits, along with honeysuckle aromatics, cream, bread dough, ginger and sweet wood spice tones, and a clean almost-sea spray character.

Smooth and textural on the palate, dry, soft, perfectly balanced between phenolic grip and bright line of acidity, Opens up and evolves in the glass. Persistent on the finish, with a line of soft spices.

NERD NOTES

Chardonnay grown by Gerald Naef at the Patina Vineyard on the slopes of Mt Canobolas, near Orange, New South Wales.

Vinification takes place in concrete tanks. Whole bunch pressed, settled over 12 wholes with only the heaviest of solids remaining. Fermented with wild yeasts, no temperature control, and underwent full malolactic fermentation.

Aged on full lees without stirring over Winter, sulphur added in Spring, further aged until blending in January 2025, and then bottled unfined and unfiltered on 20 February.
