An exceptional Grosso Sangiovese from three Brunello vineyards. The grapes only go into this 'second' wine due to the severe selection carried out by Santa Maria for their Reserve Brunello. The wines spends three weeks on skins and two year in boti before bottling.

Complex and powerful. Delicate notes of red cherry, fresh and dried Italian herbs, and mineral rich earth. Dense and richly weighted, seriously balanced with elegant lines of tannin and a fine core of mineral acid. Brilliant and age worthy. Rare.
