Damn this is a very good wine. Complex Fiano from Avellino in Campania with just enough skin contact to add richness without being an outright orange wine.

Flavoursome and serious with orchard fruits, spice and honeysuckle. Fine acid on the palate with a long finish. I hate that a wine this good is made by a former banker. - J

Nerd Notes:

Thirty to sixty year old vines from two parcels around the village of Lapio, Avellino.

The cellar is located further north in Montesarchio, Benevento.

The grapes are destemmed and macerated for one day on skins. 

Fermentation occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks and then aged for up to 18 months in concrete tanks and amphora.

Bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with minimal added sulphur (only when needed).
